Maddy Parker (Physiotherapist)

B Health Sc, M Phty MAPA

Maddy is an experienced Physiotherapist who graduated in 2017 with her Masters in Physiotherapy, earning a place on the Dean’s Merit List.

Maddy genuinely enjoys helping others and strives to relieve her client’s symptoms while addressing the underlying causes to prevent reoccurrence. Her passion for becoming a Physiotherapist came from her own experience as a teenager, suffering from a chronic medical condition. After her years of intensive rehabilitation, maddy was amazed at the human body – its resilience and ability to recover with the correct guidance.

Maddy is interested in helping those experiencing chronic and acute musculoskeletal pain, particularly in the spine and upper limbs. She is a strong advocate for empowering each client to play an active role in their recovery, so all of her patients receive a tailored home exercise program and/or are encouraged to attend our exercise classes.

Maddy has undergone further training to treat Headache & Migraines using The Watson Headache ® Approach. She has also completed many ongoing courses to ensure she stays up to date on best practice, including McKenzie Method for low back pain, TMJ (jaw), Cervical spine & Craniosacral Techniques, Jo Gibson’s shoulder course, Sports Level 1 and Integrated Dry Needling & Western Acupuncture therapies.

Maddy also has experience as Physiotherapist with the NSW and Australian Touch Football teams supporting their elite athletes of all ages (from juniors to over 60s) during their state and Australian tournaments. She understands the importance of an effective management plan to get her clients back on the sporting field safely.

Outside work, Maddy enjoys hitting the beach, hiking, pilates, and cooking up some delicious treats.

Maddy brings her passion and attention to detail to our small group exercise classes on Wednesday and Friday mornings.

She is also available for Physiotherapy appointments in the clinic, with convenient early and late appointments available.
